Shipping Policy for Standard Items and Chicken Supplies
At TE&A Hatchery LLC, we take care in packaging and shipping standard poultry supplies to help ensure they arrive safely and in good condition. This policy applies to non-live, non-perishable items such as feeders, waterers, incubators, thermometers, heat lamps, bulbs, nest boxes, nest pads, brooder supplies, and other general chicken supplies.
Shipping Methods
Standard supply orders are typically shipped using USPS, UPS, FedEx, or another comparable shipping carrier. The shipping method may depend on the size, weight, destination, availability, and most reliable option for the order.
Tracking information will be provided when available.
Shipping Schedule
Standard items may ship on regular business days and are not limited to Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday shipping unless the order also includes hatching eggs, chicks, pullets, or another item with special shipping requirements.
Orders containing both standard supplies and live or perishable items may be shipped separately.
Packaging
We package standard items using appropriate materials based on the size and type of product. Packaging may include boxes, protective padding, bubble wrap, paper fill, or other materials intended to reduce damage during transit.
While we package items carefully, we cannot guarantee that shipping carriers will handle packages gently.
Transit Risks
Once a package is accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery timing and handling are outside of our control. TE&A Hatchery LLC is not responsible for delays, mishandling, weather exposure, lost packages, or damage caused by the carrier.
However, we will do our best to assist customers by providing tracking information or helping with a carrier claim when possible.
Damaged or Missing Items
If your standard item arrives damaged, defective from transit, or with missing parts, you must contact us within 24 to 48 hours of delivery.
To submit a damage or missing item claim, please provide:

Clear photos of the inside and outside of the packaging
A photo of the shipping label• A description of the issue
Your order number
Claims submitted without photo evidence or after the reporting window may not be eligible for review.
If a claim is approved, TE&A Hatchery LLC may offer, at our sole discretion:

Store credit
A partial refund
Assistance with a carrier claim
Customer Responsibility at Delivery
It is the buyer’s responsibility to:
Enter the correct shipping address
Monitor tracking information
Bring packages inside promptly after delivery
Inspect all items upon arrival
Report any damage, missing items, or shipping issues within the required time window
TE&A Hatchery LLC is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect addresses, unattended deliveries, theft after delivery, weather exposure after delivery, or delayed pickup by the customer.
Returns and Exchanges for Standard Items
Returns or exchanges for standard items may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Items must be unused, clean, in original condition, and returned with original packaging when applicable.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an approved mistake, defect, or shipping damage claim. Used poultry equipment, opened consumable items, bulbs, electrical items, and items exposed to animals may not be eligible for return due to safety and biosecurity concerns.
