Shipping Policy
At TE&A Hatchery LLC, we take great care in packaging and shipping hatching eggs to give them the best possible chance of arriving safely. However, because hatching eggs are delicate and shipping conditions are outside of our control, hatchability is not guaranteed.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with shipping hatching eggs.
Shipping Methods
We typically ship orders using USPS Priority Mail, USPS Priority Mail Express, or another comparable expedited shipping service. In some cases, we may use an alternative carrier, such as FedEx, when appropriate. Shipping method selection is based on availability, reliability, destination, and the best option for safe delivery.
Shipping Schedule
To reduce the risk of packages sitting in transit over the weekend, hatching egg orders are generally shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays only.
Orders may be held until the next appropriate shipping day to help protect egg viability during transit.
Packaging
We package eggs carefully using methods designed to reduce breakage during shipping. Depending on the order, packaging may include:
Individual wrapping
Protective padding
Large-end-up packing when possible
Foam shippers, double-boxing, or other protective materials
While we do our best to package eggs securely, we cannot guarantee that shipping carriers will handle packages gently.
Transit Risks and Hatchability Disclaimer
Once eggs leave our hands, we are not responsible for conditions during shipment, including but not limited to:
Rough handling
Postal or carrier delays
Temperature exposure
X-ray or scanning equipment
Shaking, jarring, or impact during transit
Because of these factors, we do not guarantee hatch rates, fertility, or successful development after shipping. Even eggs that arrive unbroken may experience reduced hatchability due to shipping stress.
Broken or Damaged Eggs
If your eggs arrive broken or visibly damaged, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery. To submit a damage claim, please provide:
Clear photos of the broken or damaged eggs
Clear photos of the inside and outside of the packaging
A photo of the shipping label
Your order number
Claims submitted without photo evidence or after the required reporting window may not be eligible for review.
If a claim is approved, we may offer, at our sole discretion:
a one-time replacement
store credit
a partial refund
Delayed, Lost, or Mishandled Packages
Once a package is accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery timing and handling are outside of our control. We are not responsible for delays, lost packages, or damage caused by the carrier.
If a package is delayed, lost, or mishandled, we will try to assist by providing tracking information or helping you file a carrier claim when possible. However, replacement or refund is not guaranteed unless compensation is recovered from the shipping carrier or we choose to make an exception.
Customer Responsibility at Delivery
It is the buyer’s responsibility to:
· Ensure the shipping address is entered correctly
· Monitor tracking information
· Bring the package inside promptly after delivery
· Inspect the eggs immediately upon arrival
We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect addresses, unattended deliveries, weather exposure after delivery, or delayed pickup by the customer.
After Arrival: Let Eggs Rest
For best results, we recommend allowing shipped hatching eggs to rest for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature before incubation, placed pointy-end down, so the air cells can settle after shipment.
This does not guarantee hatch success, but it is widely recommended to improve incubation outcomes after transit.
Shipping Policy Acceptance
By placing an order with TE&A Hatchery LLC, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this shipping policy, including the risks associated with the shipment of hatching eggs.
