At TE&A Hatchery LLC, all sales are final.
Because we sell live animals and other perishable poultry products, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds once an order has been picked up, delivered, or shipped. The health, care, and environment provided after chicks leave our possession are outside of our control, so we cannot guarantee outcomes once chicks have been transferred to the buyer.
Baby Chicks
Due to the delicate and perishable nature of live chicks:
All baby chick sales are final
No returns or refunds will be given once chicks have been picked up, delivered, or shipped
We do not guarantee future health, growth, sex, laying ability, breeding quality, or long-term survival after chicks leave our care
Straight run chicks are sold unsexed, and sex is not guaranteed unless otherwise clearly stated
We do our best to provide healthy, properly cared for chicks at the time of sale or delivery. Once chicks are in the buyer’s possession, their care and condition are the responsibility of the buyer.
DOA or Immediate Health Concerns
If chicks are being shipped and arrive dead on arrival (DOA), or if there is an immediate issue at the time of pickup or delivery, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery or receipt.
To request review of a claim, please provide:
Clear photos of the chicks
Clear photos of the box or transport container if applicable
Your order number
Any approved claim will be handled case by case and, at the sole discretion of TE&A Hatchery LLC, may qualify for:
a one-time replacement, store credit, or a partial refund we do not guarantee a full refund.
Straight Run and Breed Accuracy
Unless otherwise stated, chicks sold as straight run are unsexed, and we cannot guarantee whether a chick will mature as a rooster or hen.
We make every effort to accurately represent breed and variety, but because live animals can vary in appearance as they grow, we do not guarantee show quality or exact feathering, coloration, or mature appearance.
Order Cancellations
Orders may only be canceled if the cancellation request is made before the order has been packed, prepared, scheduled for shipment, or confirmed for pickup/delivery.
If a cancellation is approved, it may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover processing, payment, and scheduling costs.
Once an order has been packed, scheduled, picked up, delivered, or shipped, it cannot be canceled and is no longer eligible for refund.
Incorrect Orders
If you receive the wrong breed, quantity, or order by mistake, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery or receipt with your order number and photos if applicable. We will review the issue and work to make it right if the mistake was ours.
