A mixed assortment of healthy, straight-run (unsexed) baby chicks from popular, hardy breeds. These chirping bundles of fluff are raised on premium feed and are ready to join your farm or backyard. Shipped with heat packs and ventilation for their journey.

  • Shipping Policy

    At TE&A Hatchery LLC, we take great care in preparing and shipping pullets or baby chicks to help ensure they arrive safely and in good condition. However, because pullets and baby chicks are live animals and shipping conditions are outside of our control, safe arrival cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance.


    By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with shipping live pullets and baby chicks.

    Shipping Methods

    We typically ship pullets and baby chicks using USPS Priority Mail Express, or another comparable expedited live animal shipping service when available. In some cases, we may use an alternative carrier if appropriate and legally permitted.


    Shipping method selection is based on availability, destination, weather, reliability, and the best option for the safe transport of live pullets and chicks.

    Shipping Schedule

    To reduce the risk of pullets and chicks being delayed in transit over the weekend, pullets and baby chick orders are generally shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays only.


    Orders may be held until the next appropriate shipping day to help protect pullets and chick health and reduce transit risk.

    Packaging

    We package pullets and baby chicks carefully using methods designed for safe live transport. Depending on the order, packaging may include:


    • Properly ventilated shipping boxes

    • Absorbent bedding or liner material

    • Heat packs when seasonally appropriate

    • Clearly marked live animal labeling

    • Other protective materials as needed for safe transit


    While we do our best to package pullets and chicks securely and appropriately, we cannot guarantee carrier handling, delivery speed, or environmental conditions during shipment.

    Transit Risks and Live Animal Disclaimer

    If your pullet and or chicks arrive dead on arrival (DOA) or visibly compromised due to a shipping-related issue, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery.


    To submit a claim, please provide:

    • Clear photos of the pullets or chicks

    • Clear photos of the inside and outside of the packaging

    • A photo of the shipping label

    • Your order number


    Claims submitted without photo evidence or after the required reporting window may not be eligible for review.

    If a claim is approved, we may offer, at our sole discretion:

    • a one-time replacement

    • store credit

    • or a partial refund


    We do not guarantee a full refund.

    Delayed, Lost, or Mishandled Packages

    Once a package is accepted by the shipping carrier, delivery timing and handling are outside of our control. We are not responsible for delays, lost packages, or damage caused by the carrier.


    If a package is delayed, lost, or mishandled, we will try to assist by providing tracking information or helping you communicate with the carrier when possible. However, replacement or refund is not guaranteed unless compensation is recovered from the shipping carrier or we choose to make an exception.

    Customer Responsibility at Delivery

    It is the buyer’s responsibility to:


    • Ensure the shipping address is entered correctly

    • Monitor tracking information closely

    • Be available to receive the package promptly upon delivery

    • Bring pullets and or chicks inside immediately after arrival

    • Inspect pullets and or chicks as soon as they arrive


    Provide proper coop housing or brooder heat, water, feed, and care immediately upon receipt

    We are not responsible for issues caused by incorrect addresses, unattended deliveries, weather exposure after delivery, delayed pickup, or improper care after arrival.

    Local Pickup and Delivery

    For local pickup or local delivery orders, the buyer is responsible for being available at the agreed-upon time and location.


    Once pullets and or chicks are picked up or delivered, responsibility for their care and condition transfers to the buyer immediately.

    Shipping Policy Acceptance

    By placing an order with TE&A Hatchery LLC, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this shipping policy, including the risks associated with the shipment and transport of live pullets and baby chicks.
